The Legacy Committee is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2019 Lt. John J. Griffin/USS Emmons Memorial Scholarship awards of $2500 each as Lyuka Devers, great-granddaughter of John H. Devers, RdM1c, and Troy Biermann, grandson of Joseph P. Pomykala, S1c.

Lyuka began her studies in Nursing in the fall of 2019 at Cal State University, Long Beach, and Troy continues his work at Northwestern University where he’s majoring in Neuroscience, with a minor in Philosophy.
