The USS Emmons Legacy Committee was established in October, 2010, with its primary mission to ensure that the courage and sacrifices made by all Emmons crew members during WWII are never forgotten with the passage of time...

...As a USS Emmons family member, why is it important for their legacy to be preserved in this modern day and age?  How is it still relevant?  What other ideas would you, as a USS Emmons family member, recommend the Emmons Association pursue, now and in coming years, to ensure that the Emmons Legacy be understood and celebrated by future generations?
